Our mission team recently enjoyed a few days of strategic planning and team building at Shunem House. We needed our meetings to be a blend of business and fun together. Staying at Shunem provided just the right balance of both hospitality and privacy. We felt warmly welcomed and cared for with delicious breakfasts and coffees, yet were also given the space we needed to do our own thing as a group. Our hosts went the extra mile to help us with logistics and still managed to find time to sit and laugh with us. I'm already looking forward to future opportunities to stay at Shunem House.

In these days of tough economic times God is calling us back to a basic principle that identifies us as His people. That call is HOSPITALITY. In the beauty of God’s Creation, Shunem Ministries is a model of this call where economical sharing and life together can be experienced.

I don’t know what our family of six would have done this year during Home Ministries had it not been for Shunem Ministries. The apartment is very adequate and comfortable. It has been just what we needed. We love it here.

Ministry, stateside or global, can be physically, emotionally, and spiritually draining. Shunem House provides an oasis for missionaries and ministers of God’s Word to be ministered to. It is designed to be a haven where spiritual equilibrium and refreshment in the Lord can be found - a place for the ministry-weary. Testimonials of those who have stayed at Shunem include experiences of feeling spiritually energized. Shunem exists to enable the furthering of God’s Kingdom through hospitality, service, and pastoral care.
